A crash course on designs-bylk….

Hey there! I’m Liliana—the designer who believes every small business and non-profit deserves to shine as bright as their dream. I have a heart for storytelling, using words and graphics to make someone feel something, learn something new, and inspire others to do something great! I have a background in publishing for non-profits, and have been freelancing for two years for churches, a small bakery, and more!

I am about to be a recent college graduate from Liberty University and will be receiving a degree in Strategic Communications. After three years in Virginia, I’ve fallen in love with the mountain views—but as a true Indiana girl, the Midwest will always hold a special piece of my heart! I grew up the most girly girl that any girl can be. I did ballet, gymnastics, and cheerleading. I loved the color pink and was all about fashion even from a young age. I remember always going to art as my creative outlet, whether that was through painting, photography, jewelry making, or scrapbooking with my aunt. Throughout high school I was determined to pursue a career in the medical field; however, when I got to college, I knew I could not do that all of my life. I changed my major to Strategic Communication and never looked back. Through all those years in my childhood, I still have a huge passion for all things creative and can’t wait to learn from new clients and tell the story of their business.

When I’m not bringing brands to life with color, fonts, and a sprinkle of creativity, you’ll probably find me playing pickleball, running around with my nieces, or watching sports with my family! I have two older brothers and have a very competitive spirit. I love doing crafts or starting new hobbies, cooking with new recipes, and playing card games, especially Euchre (for my midwest peeps).

Beyond my work and hobbies, I’m someone who is constantly learning and seeking new ways to grow. I love surrounding myself with people who inspire me, challenge me, and push me to think differently. Whether it’s through listening to podcasts, exploring new design trends, or diving into a good book with a cup of coffee, I’m always trying to expand my understanding of the world and the people in it. Creativity isn’t just something I do; it’s truly a way I move through life, always observing, always imagining, and always looking to tell the story beneath the surface.

I have a passion for fashion and all things color. I also have a huge passion for fighting back against trafficking and helping women and children who have survived abusive situations and relationships. I always want to be apart of non-profit work in that area for all of my life.

My biggest strengths in my industry are my visual creativity, writing, and graphic design The backbone of any idea, campaign, or strategy is the ability to tell a story and make the viewer feel something. There’s a reason we all cry at dog shelter commercials or die of laughter during a comedic Geico commercial. These moments are memorable because you felt something. My goal with any client I work with is to make their customers feel. Feel inspired to act, feel encouraged to keep going, feel empathetic to donate. Whatever that feeling is, I want to create to be a catalyst to help a small business or non-profit in whatever their needs are.

So, let’s get started. Let’s make people feel.
